Alexis Dykman was one of two research scholars from the Victoria University of Wellington summer scholars programme that Studio Pacific hosted over the summer of 2014/2015.
Alexis’ research assessed a range of new timber technologies for a variety of construction circumstances. The study looked into the systems that have previously been used in New Zealand and which new or overseas systems might be suited to application in New Zealand. Issues of adaptability, buildability and connections were also considered.
