Nick joined Studio Pacific Architecture in 2016 after completing his Masters of Architecture at Victoria University of Wellington.
Nick’s passion for practice and research in architecture is strongly motivated by an interest in how architectural design responds to and reflects te Tiriti o Waitangi within the context of Aotearoa New Zealand. His thesis explored questions raised by this interest in an expanded urban context, designing both places and methodologies that may invite an equitable negotiation of a shared environment. In practice, and with Studio Pacific in particular, Nick is excited to continue learning how architecture can be designed equitably and ecologically, as well as economically and socially.
With a background in art, architecture and physics, Nick is fascinated by different ways of understanding the world and the places we live, and inspired to make discoveries at their intersections.
