Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington
Sarah joined Studio Pacific in 2018 after finishing her Masters of Architecture at the University of Auckland.
While Sarah grew up and studied in Auckland, she has long enjoyed overseas learning experiences, including an exchange in Germany at the Technical University of Munich, the Ozetecture Masterclass in Sydney and a tour of Spain and Portugal with the University of Auckland that resulted in designing a Lisbon based architectural proposal.
Sarah has moved to Wellington to pursue her passion for dense and thriving urban environments, which she has experienced throughout her travels. Her love of ‘people-centric’ cityscapes is reflected in her final year thesis which explored how individuals negotiate private needs in public realms, and how that can be reflected in architecture and infrastructure. During her thesis, Sarah also developed an interest in welding furniture and mixed media painting, which is integrated into her personal design process.
