Contractor Brian Perry Civil has won a New Zealand Contractors Federation Hirepool Construction Award 2008 for the Kumutoto project.
Kumutoto is one of only four Hirepool construction awards to be given this year, and the contractor notes that the project was 'extremely challenging, and a credit to those involved with delivering quality jobs to satisfied clients'.
The Meridian Building has won Dunning Thornton Consultants an ACENZ – Gold Award of Excellence 2008, for the engineers' innovative structural engineering on the project. The iconic building showcases structural innovation, environmentally sustainable design and is the first 5 Star Green Star certified new building in New Zealand.
