Heritage Architecture Manager Lianne Cox to Speak at Heritage Conference

Studio Pacific’s recently promoted heritage architecture manager, Lianne Cox, will speak at the Protecting New Zealand’s Heritage Assets conference, which is to be held at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand on 24-25th March 2014.

Lianne’s presentation, titled ‘A wholistic approach to seismic upgrading’, will explore the opportunity to include other upgrading or maintenance work in a seismic upgrade.

She will discuss:

  • Looking at whole building issues (known and unknown) in a formal Building Condition Report 
  • Identifying upgrades or changes to improve liveability or commercial appeal
  • Benefits of a comprehensive understanding of the building’s heritage values and spaces
  • Concurrent design to facilitate integration between disciplines and encourage innovative solutions
