Royal Society awarded Silver Pin at Best Awards

The annual Best Awards were held in Auckland on Friday night and Studio Pacific was awarded a Silver Pin in the Spatial, Built Environment Category for its Royal Society of New Zealand campus project.

The design for the Royal Society’s office and grounds gives the site a feeling of cohesiveness and brings all staff together inside one building. A ‘whole building’ environmental engineering approach was taken to integrate architectural and structural elements and climate-responsive design was used to achieve a highly efficient green building.

This award comes off the back of the project’s success at April’s NZSEE Earthquake Strengthening Awards, where it won the Best Engineering Solution Category and was also named the Overall Winner.
