Studio Pacific’s upgrade of 133 Molesworth Street has received two Property Industry Awards.
The project won an Excellence Award for Commercial Office Property and a Merit Award for Green Building Property at the Property Council ceremony on Friday night.
The judges noted that the building now has twice the floor space, energy use has been reduced by 30% (effectively a 60% reduction per square metre) and the project recycled all of the structure and façade of the original building. They also described the project as an iconic gateway development on entry to Wellington and noted its seismic qualities.
These accolades follow on from the project’s success at the NZIA Wellington Architecture Awards and the Concrete3 Sustainability Awards.
