133 Molesworth Street has officially achieved a 5 Star NABERSNZ Base Building rating. The 5 Star certification is a reflection of 133 Molesworth Street’s market-leading energy performance, which has been measured at 58% less than a typical commercial office building.
Studio Pacific, together with Beca, designed this major building upgrade, which was completed in 2016. One initiative that was employed to minimise future energy usage was the choice of precast concrete panels along the building’s west elevation, which act as sunshades to minimise afternoon heat gains.
