Studio Pacific Winners at the Wellington Architecture Awards

Studio Pacific has been awarded Wellington Architecture Awards for He Tohu and Our Lady of Kāpiti School.

Celebrating the best architecture in the Wellington region, the awards ceremony was hosted at the New Zealand Parliament Banquet Hall on 3 May. Of the twenty-four buildings that received awards, Studio Pacific were the architects of two; the He Tohu Document room in the New Zealand National Library, and the new Our Lady of Kāpiti School.

Of He Tohu, the jury said the “immaculately resolved home for New Zealand’s most significant documents has an intimate and personal scale that lends gravitas to the experience and magnifies the emotional response of the visitor to the taonga exhibited within”.

The Architecture Awards also recognised Our Lady of Kāpiti School as a new school that is “a shining example of how architecture and architects can channel the energy of staff and students into an environment that encourages learning every day”.

Congratulations to all the other winners on their achievements.
