Summer Research Success

We are delighted to announce that this year our research efforts were recognised by the wider university community at the recent Victoria University Annual Summer Gold Research Awards Ceremony. Two Studio Pacific Research projects won prestigious awards.

Studio Pacific Architecture sponsored eight summer research projects in the 2018/19 summer research season in collaboration with Victoria University Wellington. This was a marked increase in our research team’s summer research efforts.

A research project investigating remote residential construction completed in collaboration with research assistant, Chiara Shim won the best research project from both the Schools of Architecture and Design. This is a significant achievement for Chiara considering both schools had over50 summer research projects.

The summer research project quantifying New Zealand’s urban density completed in collaboration with research assistant, Isabella Lum, this year won the overall best 2018/19 Summer Research Project from a pool of over 250 research projects across all faculties.

Studio Pacific were pleased to have the opportunity to work with all of our eight research assistants who all did outstanding research work, and the staff and faculty at the School of Architecture and Design at Victoria University of Wellington.

For all of us at Studio Pacific, funding research allows us a deeper opportunity to find answers to questions unanswered. Here is a link to the VUW announcement of the awards.
