Studio Pacific is excited to announce that the Nelson Airport Terminal is now completed and has been opened to the public.
The official opening ceremony was held on Saturday 19 October, with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern unveiling a plaque. The Nelson Airport Ltd Chair, Paul Steere, said that the opening ceremony was an exciting and very proud day for all those involved in the extensive redevelopment project.
The new terminal is twice the size of the previous building and offers expanded seating areas, airline lounges, conference rooms and retail spaces, and will cater for growth predictions in the excess of the current 1 million passengers passing through the airport annually.
