Studio Pacific Welcomes Two TupuToa Design Interns

We are proud to be partnering with TupuToa, providing opportunities for the next generation of Māori and Pacific business leaders, and supporting our commitment to increase representation and diversity across all parts of our business.

Jaquan Nin and Tai Leausa will work with us throughout the summer for three months as Design Interns to gain architecture experience in our studio. They will be working closely with our commercial and education project teams on work across Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.

The TupuToa Internship Programme is an employment pathway that provides professional opportunities for Māori and Pacific tertiary students in corporate, government and community organisations.

“TupuToa was borne from the need to see increased Māori and Pacific representation in leadership positions in the corporate sector. Māori and Pacific peoples make up a quarter of our population and yet are largely invisible in corporate New Zealand.”

We are honoured to be supporting the kaupapa of TupuToa and are excited to be working closely with talented tauira like Jaquan and Tai. Through this partnership, our ways of thinking can be challenged, new ideas can be introduced, and valuable perspectives can be brought to our projects.

As an equal opportunity employer, Studio Pacific provides equal opportunities for all. We take the professional development of our team very seriously, creating an empowering, inclusive and flexible working environment. Partnering with the TupuToa Internship Programme will help us connect with future Māori and Pacific leaders to help them excel in their careers while remaining strongly connected to their cultures and communities.

Welcome Jaquan and Tai, it’s great to have you with us.
