Te Korōria, Karori's new community facility is underway

Work has began on Karori's new community facility, Te Korōria, designed by Studio Pacific.

With a goal to build a strong and resilient community in Karori, Te Korōria hopes to provide an inclusive environment where all members of the community – but particularly those most vulnerable, such as the elderly or those who live alone – feel a sense of belonging and that they are valued within the community.

The Karori Anglican Church Community Connection Point including the new facility, Te Korōria, will provide the church with new community rooms, purpose built counselling rooms, a soft play area for children, a café and an outdoor landscaped courtyard.

Karori Anglican Church Project Manager, Kate Harvey-Green, says she "hoped the facility would serve Karori for at least the next 100 years and solidify the church as part of the community for generations to come."
