Sunfield has reached an important milestone with consent approved through the Government’s fast-track process.
The innovative Winton development, master-planned by Studio Pacific, presents a bold new vision for compact living in a car-less environment that prioritises people and community. As the city expands south, projects like Sunfield play a critical role in shaping how new neighbourhoods are planned and delivered.
Studio Pacific’s involvement in the masterplan started in 2021, working alongside Winton and a wide team of partners to shape the framework for the future community. The work focuses on creating a connected, people-centred environment where homes, open space, and everyday amenities are carefully integrated.
Large, urban projects of this scale require strong collaboration. To date, the planning process has brought together designers, engineers, mana whenua, planners, and delivery partners to ensure the development reflects both local context and long-term resilience.
