Senior Landscape Architect

Kate is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over eight years of experience in landscape masterplanning, public realm design, mixed-use development, and campus design in New Zealand, the UK, and internationally.

She has particular expertise in major open space design and masterplanning, having recently led the design for two landmark international campus schemes, as well as mixed-use, housing, and lifestyle developments across the UK and Europe.

Kate is a creative designer with a passion for the environment, possessing a diverse skill set and rich experience across various urban and landscape contexts. Her experience includes strategic open space planning, landscape masterplanning, urban and town centre regeneration, preparation of large-scale green infrastructure strategies and design codes, as well as habitat restoration and creation. With a keen interest in sustainability, Kate is dedicated to fostering environmentally conscious solutions that are highly functional while enriching human experiences of urban environments. She is an advocate for community and people-focused co-design, recognising its importance for successful and supported projects.

Kate recently returned to Wellington from the UK, bringing her expertise and specialist knowledge in strategic design and sustainability to our practice’s landscape team. Her research-based and environmentally sensitive approach resonates closely with the practice ethos around creating environmentally responsible and people-focused places.
