Matt Cane

Matt is an architectural designer with 25 years’ work experience in architecture and the construction of buildings.

Matt’s expertise is in multi-unit residential and apartment developments, for both social housing providers and private developers – drawing on over 17 years working in this sector both in locally in Wellington and in Edinburgh, UK. His particular knowledge areas include technical detailing, documentation and project management.

Additionally, Matt has gained experience in a number of commercial, civic and sports facilities projects that range in scale and type from fit outs for large retail clients, refurbishments of listed public buildings, through to provision of new clubrooms and sports fields for community groups. He has a particular interest in environmentally responsible and sustainable design and aims to inform all of his projects with this as a foundation.

Within the practice, Matt’s role includes delivering projects from the documentation stage through to managing the build on site, along with providing guidance on technical aspects of project design.
