Philip joined Studio Pacific in March 2021 bringing with him more than six years of industry experience in Germany where he became a registered architect with the Bavarian Chamber of Architects.

Working at leading architecture practices in Berlin and Munich, Philip's professional experience includes residential, commercial, and significant cultural building projects, as well as design competitions within Europe. Dealing with broadly different scales and complexities, these projects often focused on an architectural response to sensitive historic contexts.

Philip is passionate about the social potential of architecture, careful study of context, and has a strong appreciation of the role architecture can play as a means of exploring ideas and as a medium for research. He values collaboration between practice and academia and continues to be involved with architectural education as an Urban Design Theory and Practice tutor at Victoria University of Wellington.
