Appartamento Il Casino

The new Appartamento Il Casino complex has been incorporated into a landmark heritage building on a vibrant urban street corner in central Wellington.

Recognising the social significance of the site, which was formerly home to a lively Venetian neighbourhood restaurant, the design for the new building draws on and complements the indomitable character of the old. Appartamento Il Casino represents a thoughtful addition to the central city’s architectural tapestry and invests its 31 apartments with an abundance of personality and charm, setting them a world apart from others on the market.

Respecting the qualities of the old building, emphasis has been placed on well-crafted detail. The textures of the existing building have been preserved and interspersed with contemporary machined finishes to provide a rich mixture of old and new.
