48 Mulgrave Street is an 8-storey office building proposed for a site neighbouring Wellington’s famous Old St Paul’s Church.

The former building was damaged in the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake and was demolished in 2018, leaving 2 levels of basement carparking that will form part of the new building.  Preliminary Design and Planning approvals are both completed for this seismically resilient building that incorporates viscous damper technology. The brick cladding to the lower levels makes reference to some of the brick used in nearby heritage buildings while the upper floors are fully glazed to make the most of the views, including those across the grounds of Old St Paul’s to the south.
