Rachel Painter Celebrates 10 Years at Studio Pacific

This December, we celebrate 10 years with Rachel Painter – a Senior Designer whose calm presence, technical strength and steady contribution continue to support the delivery of high-quality design at Studio Pacific.

With over 16 years of architectural experience in Aotearoa and the UK, Rachel brings a clear and consistent approach to documentation and design delivery. Her strength lies in translating ideas into buildable, accurate solutions – helping ensure that what is drawn can be built with confidence.

Rachel first joined Studio Pacific in 2007 and left in 2013 to live and work overseas. She returned to the practice in 2021, continuing a long-standing connection to the practice and bringing valuable experience back to the studio.

Over her time at Studio Pacific, Rachel has contributed to a wide range of projects – from multi-storey commercial fitouts and apartment developments to homes and baches. Her work includes projects such as McFarlane Street House, The Morgans Golf Course Café, and Contact Energy.

Rachel plays a key role in the detailed and technical phases of projects, working closely with project leads, consultants and contractors to ensure design intent is realised through construction. She brings care and consistency to every stage, and is often involved from early design through to site observation and completion.

Colleagues describe Rachel as a steady presence – someone who brings calm to complex moments and delivers with care and clarity. Her knowledge, experience and thoughtful approach continue to support the success of projects across the practice.

Ngā mihi nui, Rachel. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you.
