Senior Associate - Landscape Architecture

Blair is a registered Landscape Architect in New Zealand with over 20 years of experience in a range of international and high-profile local public realm projects, delivering urban design and landscape architecture inputs. Blair joined Studio Pacific in 2020, bringing a broad range of project capabilities from urban design to detailed design and working in multidisciplinary design teams.

Blair specialises in leading or providing technical oversight to teams throughout the design and construction stages of projects. He has consistently delivered projects from inception to completion, helping to realise the client’s vision and public aspirations. His aim is to deliver site-responsive, well-resolved, and well-executed built projects.

His project experience encompasses infrastructure, housing, and public realm projects, including streetscapes, waterfronts, urban squares, and numerous parks, playgrounds, and open spaces. He is currently leading the landscape design aspects of the Parliamentary Precinct and has recently been involved in the documentation stages for Te Manawataki o Te Papa in Tauranga. With Studio Pacific, Blair has delivered streetscapes in Blenheim, provided design oversight of care facilities in Clevedon, led a Tactical Urbanism project in Porirua, and conducted technical reviews of various projects, including Driver Crescent (Kāinga Ora) and the Erebus Memorial.

Blair is a People Lead within Studio Pacific’s Urban Design, Landscape Architecture & Infrastructure Team and has been involved in mentoring and the interview process for NZILA registration candidates for the past three years.
