Julie has over 20 years of experience in architecture, working on a broad range of projects in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Julie's projects are often complex and located in sensitive or heritage areas. Julie’s strong design skills, along with her ability to build robust relationships, support great outcomes for her clients and teams.

Previously, Julie masterplanned and designed a retirement village with a care home, early childhood education centre, medical centre, and amenities in the South Island. She has also designed various education projects, including the masterplanning of two intermediate schools in Wellington. Additionally, Julie led the complex refurbishment of the external envelope of the Dominion Building, a heritage building in Wellington’s Central Area.

Within Studio Pacific, Julie supports the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, providing strategic direction and engagement for the studio and the wider profession. At Victoria University of Wellington, Julie has been invited to examine Master of Architecture candidates, participate in design critiques, and tutor students. She is also a member of the St Brendan’s School Board of Trustees.
