Richard Beatson

Richard joined Studio Pacific in 2002 and undertakes design, documentation and site observation work for the Studio across a diverse variety of projects throughout New Zealand. Having previously worked with other NZIA registered practices since 1994, Richard has gained extensive experience in a number of project disciplines and types.

Richard has considerable expertise in technical design and construction of complex buildings in compliance with national and local legislation. He tries to implement holistic and responsible ESD principles into all projects. Richard enjoys the process of crafting buildings with an emphasis on practical and aesthetic detail.  

Richard maintains a focus in residential work has taken a lead role in a number of bespoke residences and multi-residential projects.  He has a particular interest in current prefabrication and insulation practices within the industry.  

Richard is a NZ Registered Architect and a certified Homestar Assessor.
