Senior Architectural Graduate

Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington

Chris is a Senior Architectural Graduate with a passion for large-scale architecture. Focusing on how today’s development can help solve future problems, Chris is interested in the ongoing impact of architecture on users and the surrounding built environment.

Since graduating, Chris has immersed himself in a range of architectural fields. He began his career in residential heritage design, working on a variety of large-scale residential renovations, including dwellings dating back to the mid-1800s and a series of heritage-listed homes. This experience has led Chris to focus on a regenerative approach to architecture.

Since joining Studio Pacific, Chris has completed a range of large-scale projects across Aotearoa. Notable examples include Te Manawataki o Te Papa – Tauranga Library and Community Hub (2022), West Two (2021) – a large-scale residential development in Tāmaki Makaurau, the New Zealand Parliament (2022), and various commercial projects for offices in Wellington (CentrePort, 2021, and Beca, 2022). Working on intricate projects with tight schedules has equipped Chris with the expertise to collaborate effectively within large consultant teams.

Chris is excited to continue his ongoing exploration of architecture's impact and how it can be designed equitably, ecologically, economically, and socially.
