Marcellus joined Studio Pacific in 2003 and was appointed to the position of Principal in 2014.

A Registered Architect in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Marcellus has broad experience in urban renewal, mixed-use and multi-unit residential projects from time spent in London, and before that, education and residential projects in the Hawke’s Bay. Since joining Studio Pacific, Marcellus has led commercial, museum and airport terminal projects, along with a range of commercial interiors and residential projects.

He has travelled extensively and maintains a keen interest in design and the delivery of projects through the role of Project Architect, across a variety of procurement frameworks including management contracting, alliancing, design and build and traditional procurement methods.

Marcellus has extensive design management experience of project teams within the Studio on complex projects, as well as management of conceptual work, programming and wider consultant teams.

He previously led the systems requirement process (SPARK) within the practice and is now leading the enhancement of the Safety in Design process in response to the new Health & Safety at Work Act 2015.
