Toby is an Architectural Graduate whose experience has touched on residential, commercial architecture and masterplanning.
He has a keen interest in the interdisciplinary aspects of architecture and the environment, and how they coexist holistically. While completing his masters thesis at Victoria University of Wellington, Toby explored how the agency of a steep site could ‘author’ design specifically within the context of Queenstown. The aim of his research was to amplify and showcase the authoring ability a steep site could have on an architectural outcome while enhancing the relationship between the built and natural environment.
Since graduating in 2018 Toby has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and masterplanning projects. He is excited to bring his experience to Studio Pacific and work on projects in which the natural environment creates and inspires innovative architectural solutions.
