Senior Principal

Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington

Daryl Calder joined Studio Pacific in 1995 and now holds the role of Senior Principal. A registered architect in New Zealand since 1998, Daryl has been involved in a wide range of key studio projects, serving as Project Lead on many of the more complex undertakings.

Daryl has a wealth of architectural experience, currently specialising in commercial projects but also experienced in master planning, interiors, heritage upgrades, and complex residential buildings. A notable project Daryl led is the recently completed Tākina – Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, the largest project undertaken by Wellington City Council since the Wellington stadium development in 2000. This project demonstrates Daryl’s ability to handle high-complexity projects with exceptional outcomes, especially in a typology new to the studio. Other key projects include the Ministry of Social Development fitout, One Market Lane apartments, and the Beaumont Quarter Masterplan and Stage 1 and 2 housing.
